Kristi Irving

MA, LPC

Not currently accepting new patients.

I believe that counseling is a partnership between therapist and client, where together we navigate the areas that are causing disruptions in your life. Using humor, compassion, and a creative variety of clinical approaches, my goal is to guide you in making meaningful changes so you are able to move from simply surviving to thriving and enjoying life.

I have over 20 years of experience in mental health, ranging from inpatient hospitalization, treatment foster care, crisis work, individual and couples counseling and counseling in a college setting. I take an eclectic approach to treatment, though have a strong Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) bent, and belief in the mind/body connection.

I recognize that reaching out for help can feel intimidating. My goal is to minimize that feeling with compassion, humor and acceptance. You are the expert at you, my role is to help facilitate positive change and guide you to recognizing your best self. Everyone struggles somewhere, let me help you realize it doesn't have to be permanent.
