Lisa A. Hidde

MSE, NCC, LPC

I am a TFCBT and Exposure and Response Prevention trained mental health therapist, specializing in adolescent/adult mood and behavior disorders, depression, anxiety/OCD, ADHD, self esteem, life transitions, relationship issues and anger management. I work with ages 10 and up, adolescents, adults. I am eclectic in my therapy approach, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectic Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, solution-focused work, motivational interviewing, behavior therapy, family and parent training approaches to treatment.

I am passionate about helping each client gain a sense of empowerment by encouraging them to identify and utilize their strengths to overcome difficult life experiences. I provide a safe space along with compassion to help my clients transform their lives. Therapy takes commitment and transparency. My treatment philosophy is client centered and strength based while encouraging client empowerment and validation - a safe space for clients to explore and heal current/past issues. I help clients identify various thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may be getting in the way of their goal achievements and life change. I help you through the process of identifying issues, goals and ultimately a treatment plan along with interventions to help you achieve goals. Therapy is a process and requires work outside of the session, therefore I will often assign homework or other skills/interventions to practice between sessions.

I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I am licensed through the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have received additional training through the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents for the Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification and training through the International OCD Foundation-the Behavior Training Therapy Institute for certification in Exposure and Response Prevention.
